This is a brief description of the computing environment anchored by servers located in 708 VAN that is currently in the process of being replaced by the [SPDR](SPDR) environment.
This is a brief description of the computing environment anchored by servers located in 708 VAN that has almost been replaced by the [SPDR](SPDR) environment.
These systems evolved with the needs of Prof Gurnett's [radio and plasma wave group](https://space.physics.uiowa.edu/plasma-wave), currently led by Bill Kurth. As of 2023 service had expanded to support additional faculty and with the migration to SPDR, services will be available to all University of Iowa space physics researchers and their collaborators.
